The Role:
We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and communicative Market Research Analyst to delve into Vietnam's evolving metals sector. You will be responsible for understanding local dynamics, building a robust information network, and delivering critical insights that drive decisions for our global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research on the metal industry in Vietnam, such as lead, zinc, aluminum, tin, copper, and iron and steel sectors.
- Collect, manage, and analyze supply & demand data to build and maintain a fundamental market database.
- Support the assessment and publication of SMM's spot price indicators for key metal products in the Vietnamese market.
- Produce timely market commentaries, weekly reports, and in-depth research reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local industry participants, including producers, traders, end-users, and industry associations.
- Represent SMM at industry events, conduct market roadshows, and support the sales team in client engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Economics, Finance, International Trade, or a related field.
- Native or professional proficiency in Vietnamese is required.
- Full professional proficiency in either English or Mandarin Chinese is essential.
- 1–3 years of experience in market research, metals, or a related field is a plus; however, promising fresh graduates are also welcome.
- Strong logical thinking, fast-learning ability, and a genuine interest in market analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
